Place your trees in a space that gets about 4-6 hours of sun each day.  The tree species in your Pocket Nursery like a lot of sun – so putting your pocket in a shady area may result in unhappy trees.

 

Water them weekly (& sometimes more)!  Newly heeled in trees are working to establish their roots & need ample water to do so.  We recommend about 5 gallons per week for the Pocket Nursery, or about 1 inch of rain. Consider designating a specific day or days of the week to water your trees so it's not overlooked in times of low or no precipitation.

Not only are you providing an environmental service to the community, but you are getting to watch the beginning of the magical, transformative process that a tree undergoes during its growth & establishment.
