About the event

The ability to identify trees can lead to a deeper understanding and appreciation of our arboreal friends and their place in our world. Learn basic concepts of features to look for as you familiarize yourself with tree species in our collective urban forest. Tyson Gregory, Trees Lexington's Director of Programs, will share with participants helpful information about how trees are named and put into different classifications. You'll be informed on the traits to look for (bark, stems, buds, leaves, flowers, etc.) and how to use them to determine the ID of your tree.

This event is supported by Lex Grow Trees with funding provided by LFUCG.
